Chopin: Etudes (Henle Urtext)

€42.00

With his two cycles of Etudes, Op. 10 and Op. 25, published in 1833 and 1837, respectively, Chopin achieved something truly remarkable. It's likely that no one had ever written technical practice pieces that also achieved such musical heights before him. The character-driven, tense Etudes by Chopin were composed for the concert venue. The pianist's core repertoire includes the technically challenging pieces, such as perennial favorites like the "Revolutionary Etude" from Op. 10 No. 12. Along with the two cycles op. 10 and op. 25, our Urtext version also includes three Etudes without an opus number that Chopin wrote in 1840 for a Parisian piano method. These three lyrical miniatures are equally as strong as the 24 grandstudies.
