A violinist and gifted mathematician, 20-year-old Hodder had been at Pembroke College Cambridge and the title derives from the pleasure he used to get when finding unexpected connections between seemingly unconnected things. For piano trio and vibraphone, the work was written for Hodder闂備胶鍋ㄩ崕鏌ユ偘 parents, Monroe and Fred .
