Philip Wilby (b.1949), is a Yorkshire-based contemporary composer. Since 1990, he has been best known for his extensive and highly successful Brass Band repertoire, while maintaining a steady output of liturgical and choral work. His delightful carol The Word Made Flesh was written in 1987 for the choir of Bradford Cathedral.
