LCM - IN CONCERT DIPLOMA LEVEL PIANO WORKS

Nine piano pieces from the Diploma of the London College of Music (DipLCM) Piano Syllabus are included in In Concert. These pieces provide a sample of the vast repertoire that is currently available to pianists, which spans nearly three centuries of music from all over the world. We hope that this selection of works will serve as motivation for creating unique and imaginative concert programs, whether for a professional recital, an audition, or a classroom setting.

Joanna MacGregor, concert pianist, curator, collaborator, head of piano at the Royal Academy of Music, and professor at the University of London, is one of the most creative musicians in the world, and her work In Concert contains an introduction and performance notes. Joanna draws from her own broad performing experience to offer unique insights into the technical and interpretive elements of each work. She is also particularly suited to write on program building, one of the most inventive and critical talents for a musician to learn, given her experience as a director of various cutting-edge festivals and concert series.
